I actually enjoy power lines and telephone lines as a photo motif. I think its the stark industrialism that they project upon a landscape that makes me enjoy them so much. I try to shoot them whenever I can find them in a pleasing setting.

I think you photo is very well done. Im no expert by any means but it is very pleasing to my eye.

I like the dark foreground that contrasts with the lighter overcast clouds. Gives a heavy feel to the photo overall. And then the pylons rising up in a great thrust of industrial progress....nice.

The one bit of color in the Union Jack is very nice as well.

I would have been extremely proud to take this shot.

As for the photo, I really like it, a job well done

Nice shot, have you tried BW?
And if I may suggest. Next time try to walk around and see if you can compose it in the way taht those lines will lead the eye TO the last two pilons and the house, not from it.

I rather like the pylons pointing away from the house. They look like they are tugging those wires toward a house that may not want to become part of the 21st century. All things considered, they should lead the eye away from it but the lack of wires connecting them to the house has the opposite effect on me. Go figure! Really nice shot.
