Houseboats at sunset

I took this last Oct.I took it as a jpeg and used 2 different editing tools trying to get the color right( by that I mean the color in the clouds was more red).I have since started shooting in RAW and have seen some differences in adjusting the color.I would like to know what you think of the pic and give me any advice .Thanks

This photo was taken when there where a lot of wildfires buring in CA.I live in PA ,I dont know if the smoke could have any effect that far away, but it was one of the best sunsets I have ever seen.

I like your picture, the colors in the sky are fantastic!

I find myself wondering if there is some way you could brighten up the houseboats just a little bit, so they seem a little more included in the scene.

Every time I tried that they ended up looking very grainy or washed out.

I like the colours, and the idea. But I have to say that compositionwise it doesn't work for me. There is something missing in that shot. But it's a great effort...
