I keep coming back...

... to these two shots of a 1949 Cadillac I took at the street rod show a few weeks ago. I just really like these for some reason. What do you all think and which do you like better? I know the reflections of the other cars are not desirable, but I was on the street and not in a studio where that sort of thing can be controlled. About the only thing under my control was the shooting angle and of course the camera functions.

2 pretty good shots. Actually, the 2nd shot is really good. The way to minimize the reflections is with a polarizer and even that doesn't totally get rid of them.

I like it. Two critiques (personal opinions):

1) The flintstone wheels kinda get to me (squared off selections?)

2) The extreme contrast of the black bg makes the colors look flat and also too unrealistic because the car does not reflect what should be reflected. (make sense? This probably wouldn't have been a problem, had you taken the photo in the studio... so nice work for what you had. Maybe airbrushing a little more shadow along the underside might work. Not sure though.

I prefer the second because the car reflected is less of a color contrast to the subject of the photo. I agree, though, that both are very nice shots.
