light hearted family portrait

Any suggestions for improvement on this one? Limited by an 8x10 crop for the 'client' slash my great friends.

Shot with the 85/1.8 SMC Tak

I would have tried to put the guy under the woman. Lying down behind the tree. That way youd have the natural order with the matriarch at top. Plus since he seem to be much taller then her, it would add some comedy to the picture, since noone is used to see them that way, for those that are used to see them that is.

Its a great shot over all though, but as usual (in family portraits) the man seem a bit uncomfortable.

Nice shot ... would have been great to have the little girl looking at the camera too.. but I know that would be difficult !

Beautiful! The only thing I would change is to make the photo more contrasty! There is an awful lot of gray. I love the nostalgic look of the portrait!

I actually like the girl looking away, but agree on the contrast. Although the white of her dress seems a bit washed?

I find the parents hands to be distracting.

Less tree and more space in the direction the litle girl is pointing.

Maybe a bit more contrast in, how does it look in Colour?
