First post: Alaska River Picture

Ok, this is my very first post here, and first time uploading a picture. I would appreciated any comments or suggestions on this picture I took in Alaska a couple of weeks ago.

Anybody?? Please, tell me there is anything you would have done differently with this photo (composition, post processing.....etc.). I'm always looking for constructive feedback (positive or negative).

I like the way the water looks, and if it were me I would slide the black level up to get some black in the print. That's just how I like it though no right or wrong to it.

Also maybe a little contrast or something. Just a little something to make it pop. Nice composition though.

Yeah, I agree, maybe a little more contrast. Also, I think it needs to be a bit brighter in the shadows. Overall seems a bit darker than I like

I do really like the smoothness of the water and the textures of the rocks. If it were me I would try to focus on those things. The exposure is a little dark however, and I do find the utility poles a little distracting. You could try cropping some off the top and a little off the right and see if that works better. Then you could adjust the levels to add some contrast and exposure correction. Hope this helps.
