A Nuttach in flight!

What about the bacground? Could keep it Black, leave it as it is, or??

I think letting the background fade to black would be interesting depending upon the bird. what ever you do, you will always have the issue of edge definition, maybe light blue for a "simulated sky" would be better, or an out of focus pale green/brown (perhaps a cammo background but out of focus)


As I understand the techniuque, you are only about 1-2feet away from the camera with the subject, and stopped down. If you change the backgrouns from the white sheet to cammo, and are away from any DOF issues it might work

Its done with a high speed flash (1/22000 sec);

I used the smc FA* 24/2

really enjoyed your shot .... would be interested to see a larger crop of the bird only ... looks like there is great detail there
