I like the concept of three "plants" in the image, I would personally crop in on each edge and eliminate the little distracting elements and make it a graphic abstract of just the leaves/shadows without much to give it dimension/depth.

Then again, I like abstracts, so...grain of salt.

Interesting capture.
Not my cup of tea, but is a decent attempt at natural abstracts.
The subject contrasts quite nicely with the background shadows, just a little distracting.
Nice one.

Thanks for the input. You got me thinking about "abstracting" the image, and although I doubt this is what you had in mind, I started goofing around and ended up with

Good feedback... I didn't even know there was a "natural abstract" genre. I've got to do some googling on that, thanks for getting me started on this,
Brian

hmm... just remove those lil distracting elements on the edge using "Clone". hmmm.. and the way your crop your picture. Try to maintain the original size ratio. ... I like the film like effect.. no brightness nor contrast adjustment for me.... keep it up!

For that one, the white spots are quite distracting, and it's pretty tight in the frame.

First shot is better, IMO.

Good point, Anthony. The "white spots" are really small leaves floating on the surface, and I was trying for as much accuracy as possible, but I think it looks better without them...

Thanks, Brian
