Well put together and lit.
Good texture rendition and detail.
There may be a little softness ?due to very small aperture setting.
You may have done better with something like f/11.
But this result is certainly workable - a little PP to bring out contrast, colour and brightness and it'll be sure to please.
Thanks for the comments everyone. Below is the original for comparison. As you can see the colors didnt start out unsaturated. I just kinda liked the look. Oh, and there was no flash used for this shot. It was a long exposure using only window light.
I wanted the colors subdued since everything dies in the fall and I didnt want the photo looking too cheerfull with bright colors. Just my interpretation of the season. Thanks again fof the comments and the original shot is below.
Much nicer original there, Mr Hyde. I can totally understand about wanting the subdued look to represent dying leaves and the change of seasons into stark winter, but I think the dark red and rich earthy brown tones in your image already express that well. Brown isn't the colour of vibrancy and life, so I believe your effect is still achieved in the original.

Composition is very nice. Good to see someone doing a still life! Textures are lovely. Some resolution lost by stopping down that much as already mentioned. Might see it in an enlargement.
Colours in original seem out of whack a bit -- too orange. Personally I would try to set the gray point somewhere more pleasant and then tone down the saturation a tad if you wish, but nowhere near as much as your first post.

Fall makes you think of warm reds, oranges and browns, the one in your original post is too cold feeling.
Thanks for the comment. Although by your coment you seem to prefer the more colorfull version, your comment of coldness is the the exact feeling I was trying to get across.

Actually, no, that's a bit too much, something in between. I think more yellow leaf and also orange instead of the green would have helped balance the red.

Ahhh... Now I see what you were saying. I agree there is a bit too much red in the photo and some more variety probably would have been a better choice. thanks
I'd like to see it about halfway between the original image and your post processed image. Part of the problem is the colors in the subject are too close together to give any contrast to your desaturated image. Try a B&W conversion to see what I mean. In the PP'd image the highlights are to harsh and shadows too dark which may have been caused by increasing the contrast to make the image pop a little. Otherwise it's still a very good still life composition.
