Item Description
This is the "old" version of the Sigma APO EX 70-200mm f/2.8. Not the DG Macro version. Not the II DG Macro HSM version. However, it's very well regarded, better in many eyes (though, of course, not all) than the newer versions.

Purchased used from fellow PFer and original owner awetmore end of Sep. I bought the 70-200 to get a package deal discount on the APO EX 2x TC, but am now re-selling the 70-200 since I already have one with which I'm quite happy. I'm passing on some of the discount savings to the buyer in the form of included shipping & insurance to the lower-48 contiguous US states (see Shipping Charges & Services for additional information about other destinations). The lens is in excellent mechanical and optical condition, though the front lens element has a very small blemish that does NOT impact IQ. See pics for details.

Return Policy/Additional Details

Hopefully people aren't turned off by all the conditions and additional details. I just want to make sure everything is clear up front in order to minimize issues later. I don't think any of these conditions are unusual or unreasonable. But if you do, let me know and we'll see if we may sort out a compromise.

Payment Options
Paypal. Buyer and seller split Paypal fees (if applicable) 50/50 since it's a benefit and convenience to both parties.

Discretionary Returns
Buyer has 48 hrs after receipt to test / review and ensure the lens meets their satisfaction and my description. Not satisfied? Buyer pays return shipping via the same carrier, service level, and options (insurance for full purchase price, delivery confirmation with delivery signature, customs disclosure based on actual contents and full purchase price), or alternative carrier, service level, and options mutually agreed upon by both buyer and seller. Upon receipt and confirmation of contents and condition, seller will refund the purchase price less actual shipping and Paypal costs.

Non-Delivery Returns
In the case of items returned to seller due to non-delivery (for any reason other than seller error), buyer is responsible for any and all fees associated with return and may opt for a refund (purchase price less actual shipping and Paypal costs) or re-shipment (buyer is responsible for all re-shipment costs and associated Paypal fees).

Delays
Seller is not responsible for delivery delays due to carrier or customs.

Customs Duties, Fees, and Taxes
Buyer is solely responsible for complete payment of any and all customs duties, fees, and taxes during original shipment, discretionary returns, returns for non-delivery, and/or re-shipment.

Being the older version makes it better right? Full Frame instead of Digital.

Eventually we will probably go to full frame, so it would seem this would be a good investment into the future.

My only hesitation is that my first DSLR is a Pentax, but I am not sure if my second will be simply for the fact I want to try different brands with a couple of lenses before deciding which is "best" for me.

I could have used this lens this morning for the kids soccer games though. That is for sure!
