For sale is my K-7 and various Pentax and K-mount lenses. I'm keeping a K-7 body and a few lenses, but most of it has to go as I'm looking to build a small micro four thirds kit as well. (so if anybody has a Panasonic 20mm/1.7 pancake, yeah, I'll trade! )
I'm going to see if I can sell these in Canada first. Makes it easier for me and I need to mail everything Expresspost so I can get a signature confirmation and full insurance. Last time I tried to ship something to the States on the cheap it got lost and I had to issue a refund, so I'm just trying to make this easier on myself. Plus, might be nice for Canadians to get first crack once in a while.
I'll be keeping a few lenses, so I might withdraw an item at any time, but anything you see here is for sale (the 50 and 55--I only want to sell one of them, but will see which sells first as they both have great qualities to them).

Shipping is estimated at $25 anywhere in Canada ($35 for the body), with insurance at $1 per $100 of value. I will refund any balance if it's cheaper once I mail it.
Payment is by paypal (verified buyers only, but I will cover the fees), Email Money Transfer, or I can meet in Toronto, weekdays during the day.
I will entertain offers, but will always give preference to people who meet my price--sorry, but it's just better for me! I can't hold things unless I get a firm commitment to buy, because that's also unfair to both myself and other potential buyers.
Details: The K-7 has roughly 7800 actuations on it. Cosmetically and mechanically it's in excellent shape. I recently had it in with Pentax Canada because I had trouble with manual focus confirmation being a little out. They put a -10 "Adjust All" AF micro adjustment on my camera, which also happens to affect manual focus confirmation (you learn something new every day)! I've installed a split screen from focusingscreen.com (most of the product shots here were taken using the split screen and a Pentax A 50 1.2), and I find it's more precise than the green hexagon, which provides a wider range of what is in focus. My autofocus lenses required their own micro adjustments anyway (between -8 and +5), so it hasn't affected regular use at all for me, but it's something to note when you're putting a new lens on--make sure to set the AF adjustment for each one, or it will default to -10. K20 users know what I'm talking about. I will include the original screen and copper shim, as well as the focusing screen tools, or you also don't have to take the split screen if you don't want! Let me know, and I'll hang onto it and reinstall the original screen, but it's well calibrated now, so I thought I'd leave it in for the next user. Pentax also cleaned and tested the camera to make sure everything is within spec. The downside was that they had it for a month, during which time I bought a friend's K-7, so now I have two, which is nuts.
DA 15/4 Limited
I am the original owner and have only had this out a few times. It's a fantastic jewel, in mint shape and a really fun lens to use. Everything in perfect condition. I just flick it to infinity and walk around the town.
DA 21/3.2 Limited
Just got this today actually, but I'd decided to sell everything off... Put it on to make sure it works and it's in great shape. The front cap has some dings in it, but that's what caps are for. Box has UPC cut out.
DA 70/2.4 Limited
Beautiful condition, amazing performance on the K-7! Super fast AF and sharp as hell!
FA 50/1.4
An excellent performer, small and light and very fast AF. Fun lens, especially on the K-7 where it definitely felt a performance boost with the faster screw drive!
DA*55/1.4
This was my favourite lens on the K20. Sharpest lens I'd ever used, especially around f/2. Beautiful colour, and the rounded aperture blades are a definite edge over the FA 50. I also have the original purchase receipt from Henry's in Toronto, purchased in May of this year.
Zeiss Distagon T* 25mm/2.8
This one made me ditch the DA35 macro in a heartbeat. Twice! I love this lens and the images I got from it. Its close-up abilities are insane, with the ability to focus to within 17cm of the front element. Expensive for a manual focus lens, but beautiful to use. I reserve the right to withdraw this lens at any time. It's also a FF lens...
Tamron SP 28-75mm/2.8 XR Di LD Aspherical (IF) Macro
How do you spell awesome? If you're Tamron, you use too many letters. This is a fantastic sample of this lens, originally purchased in Japan, I'm told, where they keep the best copies for themselves? I don't know, it's the stuff of legend. But a great lens with a great range and fast f/2.8 aperture.
Pentax FA 24-90/3.5-4.5
Here's a well regarded lens. Fast for its smallish size and range, also light because of the FA build, but as sharp as anything when you stop it down. A great walk-around lens.
Pentax F 135/2.8
This one's in bargain condition (keh has one in bargain condition right now that is $399), but still produces great photos. Glass is pretty clear, but I see something in there, like a black fleck. I've tried to capture it in a photo. The rear mount has some rust on it, as per the picture.
Vivitar AT-22 extension tubes
These extension tubes are not the ones with the A contacts, but they do have a lever to stop down your lenses in M mode. Not too shabby, they're in beautiful condition and the case is nice!
cb705r - Waaaayyyyyyy too funny. And only because it hits close to home. Same little debate going on in my mind but I just gave the go ahead for winter tires on my wife's van to the shop an hour ago.
winter tires, for the wifes car... or k7.... While I debate you get a free bump!

After 7 years of marriage, I just learned to hide stuff

I'll bet....someone's ass would be grass, if that 2nd K7 was found, I'll bet. Must be in a good hiding spot.
Bump for a great seller, btw. Bought and am still using his old K20d. Good luck with the sale. Tempted by the 21mm, but the lens buying budget is shot for a bit.

Ha! So true. I would have some 'splaining to do, as Ricky Ricardo used to say.
The K-7 for sale is in its box right now. Not entirely creative, but as good a place as any!
You can be confident in buying from this seller. I was fortunate enough to get the FA 50/1.4 from him. Excellent condition and fast shipping. Only wish I got to the thread at the beginning sooner, especially for the DA limited. Oh well, maybe next time
