I am whittling down my collection of 50's, so I hope this one can go to a good home. It is my second favorite lens (after the FA 31mm), and it is really the perfect entry point for getting into Pentax's great older glass.
This lens has seen its share of use, but I have seen absolutely no adverse impact on image quality. Focus ring is very smooth, but the aperture ring is a little more ratchety than I like. Far from bad, mind you -- selecting aperture is no problem at all. There is a decent amount of brassing on the aperture ring, but hardly any on the barrel itself.
There are a few small "marks" on the front and rear elements. Not scratches, exactly. More like tiny smudges or water spots. I have not really tried scrubbing at them, because I am worried that might do more harm than good. After all, the IQ on this lens is stellar even in its present shape. There are also a few specks of dust inside the lens, but again, I haven't noticed any compromised IQ.
Comes with Pentax front and rear caps.
