PSE 4.0 for Mac and 'instructional' books...

I recently purchased PSE 4.0 for my Mac - have been impressed so far, but would like to purchase a book to help the learning curve. From researching this, the books available all seem to be for PC...
Another question I have - there is PSE 6 for PC - how does that compare with PSE 4 for the Mac? ie
is PSE 4 Mac same as PSE 4 PC? and if so would an instructional book for PC and Mac be fairly similar?
Does anyone know why there is the difference - PSE 6 PC and only PSE 4 Mac?

I believe there's supposed to be a PSE 5 for the Mac coming out around the first of the year. You can't use 4 with Leopard. 4 when used with Tiger has pretty good built in instructions.
