Epson Stylus Photo 1400 ink

I just bought the Epson 1400 and was thinking of replacing the OEM inks with a 3rd party set. Any comments or comparisons in regards to print Q, permanence etc between the two. The price sure seems right ($45) but is there shortcomings. The print quality with the OEM ink is amazing but it sets you back about $130 Canadian for a set replacement. Thanks in advance.

my cost from canon cost $100 for all 8 colors. of course i refill. i've been refilling since day one. currently i've struck up a dialog with THESE guys and i'm very! happy with them. $47 compared with $800 doesn't need a rocket scientist to figure the difference.. happy printing.

Thanks Roy

Roy,thanks for the info. Since I'm selling the prints as fine art the issue I'm facing is archival permanence, this being said, I'll be sticking with the Epson inks as they are archival. For everyday printing your source seems to be the answer.
