Hp 22" monitor?

My new computer is lurching ahead with an old crt monitor. Had to use an adapter to even hook it to computer. Saw an Hp 22" W2207H lcd monitor. The thing that jazzed me was the ability to flip vertical. I shoot a lot of verticals. Is this really neat and useful or is it just a gimmick? Am I paying tons of money for this vs spending for more screen performance?
thanks

I can flip my laptop, it has the same effect. Keyboards a bit hard to use though.

I would seriously look at the mechanism and read reviews of this 'flipping' monitor before buying. It could be just one more part to break.
