Tips on purchasing Adobe lightroom?

Am looking to purchase Adobe Lightroom. Am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the most economical way to purchase it?...

They offer it to the academic crowd for a hundred bones....for non-commercial use.

You can get the edu version from adobe themselves (Adobe) or Academic Superstore also has them (Academic Superstore : Academic Software discounts for students, teachers and schools). You have to provide proof you qualify. Academic Superstore lets you buy it on behalf of someone else. I bought CS4 on behalf of one of my kids (students all). Okay so I got it mostly for me. But I did use it for a project for one of my boys just last night so I do feel justified. And it's not like I'm making any money off of it anyway . . .

you can also download the "trial" from adobe which is really the full version with a 30 day limit on it and then google for an activation code...

but thats illegal
