does anyone use this program? i'm thinking about buying a lens that is compatible with it, maybe the 12 - 24. just wondering if it's worth the hassle

Yes, I use it and like it very much.
And not only with the 'supported' lenses. It works perfectly fine with any lens.
The impact is just greater for those lenses where a module is available.
