Thanks. I am settling in on the Lr as main and Ps as the heavy lifter combination. Most of my photos will best be served with this.

I also have been doing lowkey high ISO club shoots and there the need for heavy noise reduction makes leaving Lr unavoidable.

I also want to learn to do more art-composite-pieces and that is clearly Ps plus plug-ins turf.

Thanks to all for the assistance in thinking this out. Now for the question of catalog organization! I need to go through it all and set it up well. Add tags. Wish I could just have thumbnails of my whole collection on my laptop to use at work during down times to add the tags then sync them up to my main. Maybe I can remote into my home from work? something....
