Lightroom 1 VS Lightroom 2

Looking at getting lightroom 2, I am running on a mac mini with a 2 ghz processor with 2 gig of ram.

Is lightroom a hog?

I know the specs say it will run on my computer but I just want a better feeling that I wont be in a slug race.

how do you like it?

what are you running on?

Are the features as functional as they appear?

Any questions that you can answer would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

John

Can't tell you how it'll perform on a Mac, but LR2 runs just fine on my 3yo 2GHz XP box w/ 4GB ram. If I've been dogging the machine out all day and fire up LR it sometimes runs sluggish, but a quick reboot fixes that.

I ran LightZone for almost a year and was overall very happy with it, just wanted a few of the features LR provided so I downloaded a trial. It about 2 days and I was hooked. The photo management end of it is damn near worth the price by itself.

Thanks Jim, I was impressed with the photo management in LR1 so it should even be better in lr2. I went ahead and bought it last night, and it seems to run good. So far I like it, I will need to watch some of the videos for tips and tricks.

Let me know if you find any really helpfull tricks. It looks like it could take some time to get the full advantage of this program.
