query for printers: K20D microbanding? Certain very fine, light details show microbanding @ letter size in K20D/raw...both B&W and color-before-postprocessing... (see vine-like Y-shaped branch in front of big tree on left).... absorbant papers (rag) minimize or eliminate it, it's seen only in baryta/semi-gloss (Ilford and Moab) and Kayenta (looks like Epson Enhanced Matte but resolves more detail).
Is this what we expect from Pentax APS/14.6? I don't have anything like this with Nikonscans of Astia.
Is there a very light film-simulator that might clean this up?
The microbanding is stronger in this attachment than it is in print...probably due to sharpening and GIF...but it's also seen in the original raw file.
