what printer and what flash?

I want to start making my own prints and I would like to know of a high quality, fast printer, but is somewhat cheap ($200-$300 probably). Should I buy Epson, or HP?

i got a canon pixma ip4300 when my wife got her macbook a few years ago. has 5 inks, cmyk and a large black tank for normal black printing. Prints very quickly. I print with lightroom and after adjusting to it, it works great. Just make sure you get the right files for the paper you are using.

Drawbacks that its a home inkjet printer, tough to network with a mac/pc and it doesnt do wide format.

Moved to Post Processing, Printing and Software.

Please start a separate thread in Camera and Studio Accessories for your question about flash. Or read the first 'sticky' thread in that forum.
