phatch (photo batch) does quick resize and once set up can save the preferred operation and sequence as a template.Then all you have to do is drag an drop any image into the hovered window and it is done.

Great to have hovering while reviewing shots in another viewer.

I use it on Ubuntu Linux though it is cross platform so should work with that other O/S too.

Oh, forgot to say that it is open source and free too !

Scroll right down to the bottom of the phatch page and use the links there in green
