Pentax Photo Browser 3.61 under Wine

Hi all,
I'm a Linux user and I tried the K200D bundled software. I've downloaded from the official Pentax site the newest version of Pentax Photo Laboratory and Pentax Photo Browser... the first one works well under wine but the latter crash after showing the splash screen.
Does any one of you managed to let the Pentax Photo Browser work under wine?

Thank in advance,
Jenner

Linux Wine and Pentax Browser

The Browser used to work fine with Linux Wine until the Pentax Browser update in April this year. Now we just get the Splash Screen. I have switched short term to Picasa under Linux. Is anyone reponsible for fixing this problem?

Hi all
I have the same crashes with the Browser 3.10 when trying to install it with WINE in Ubuntu, so, it seems that problems are previous to April update.
I reinstalled version 3.10, (in Windows XP) because 3.51 or 3.61 run quite slowly compared to 3.10. It goes fine there, but in Ubuntu, crash after crash...
Did anyone get installation in Ubuntu with any version of Browser?
Thanks

Those of you using Linux should give the latest Digikam a try. In conjunction with its photo editor, showFoto (supports 16 bit per channel), it is now taking care of 99% of my photography software needs. Digikam is miles ahead of Picasa. I haven't tried Pentax Photo Browser, but I would doubt it to be any better than Digikam.
