$92,000.00 question.

Since she can't use her right hand, my wife uses a P&S (Optio MX) upside down, holding it with her left hand. This works well for pictures, since we can rotate them to view them right side up. The problems arises when she wants to "video" something. I haven't found a way to turn them right side up.

So, here is my question.

Is there in the audience a computer "crack" able to figure out how to flip videos, and if so, would that computer crack be kind enough to "baby talk" me through the steps needed to do it, if it is possible?

My wife would really enjoy to be able to "video" whatever she wants by herself.

Thank you, guys (and gals).

Hi Yves,

Congrats to your wife for not allowing her disability to impede her from doing what she wants!

I just downloaded a free program called Free Video Flip And Rotate from Download Free Video Flip And Rotate

It worked very well in my test, and seems simple and intuitive to use. Load the original video file, select where the destination will be, then choose the rotation - 90 deg, 180, etc. Give it a shot.

If you like, PM me an email address and I can send you more detailed instructions with pictures and stuff.

Hope this helps.

-Chris

I also believe virtualDub can do those things, although it is a more complicated program to use.

Thanks, guys.

I downloaded video flip, but I have other things to do right now, so I'll try it later on. I really appreciate your help.

Windows Movie Maker

If you have windows movie Maker, It has the effect built in. Just load your video clip, select Tools, Video Effects and drag "Rotate 180 Degrees" onto your clip.

Gerry

I just noticed there seems to be a bug in "Rotate 180 Degrees" in that it mirrors the video so that letters and words for example, appear backwards and upside down. What you need to do is drag "Rotate 90 Degrees" to the same clip twice.

Seems to work perfectly.

Unfortunately, I've been busy and a half, so I didn't have time to do anything with that project this week. Since the weatherman is calling for rain (again) on Saturday, and I don't have anything else lined up, I guess I'll look into that.

Thanks for keeping an eye on me.
