Help cropping green leaf out

I shot this on Thursday, with MZ-7, Sigma 70-300mm at Macro on 300mm, as auto everything and tripod mounted. I didn't notice the green leaf but it was a bit windy that day. I tried cloning it out but I got blurry results. How would you clone it out without it being blurry where you cloned it?

I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it but with a bit more parience than what I have right now it can be done quite easily.

Take care,

Thanks Heinrich. Could you tell me what you used to do this, as in clone tool and software?

Here is what I did:

Reduced image to 96 dpi

clone tool in CS4

noise reduction and sharpening in Ninja

As I said, this was a very quick job. Working on the original with more time it can be improved on.

Take care,

Well, I don't have Photoshop CS4, my version is 7 before the CS versions came out. And it won't work on my OS because it's 32bit and I'm running Windows 7 RC 64 bit.

What's Ninja? And is it free?

And thanks for what you did do.

Why did you reduce the image to 96 dpi?

Most 32-bit apps run just fine in Win7 64 bit - have you tried installing the program? You might need to enable compatibility mode.

Noise Ninja is a noise-reduction program. The similar Noiseware Community Edition is a free download. Imagenomic - Imagination at Shutter Speed

I don't know if Photoshop 7 has a "clone tool"; perhaps it's called a "rubber stamp"?

You're right, most do, but PS 7 caused my computer to BSOD, as a computer tech, that's not a good thing to happen to my computer.

Thanks for the info on Noise Ninja, I'll check it out.

And yes, PS 7 has clone tool, and a healing tool. PS6 had the rubber stamp. I think PS5 and 5.5 also had the rubber stamp. I've been using Photoshop since it was owned by Aldus.

There is no need for higher resolution than that for web use and it is easier to work with in PS because it needs less memory.

HI, CS4 installs both 32 and 64 bit versions by default. I run Vista 64 bit amd most plugins don't like it so I wind up using CS4 in 32 bit anyway.

How do you like Windows 7 RC ? Does it behave any better than Vista?

I guess that's another way to work it. My workflow is downsizing as almost the last step depending on where I may go with it. That gives me a lot of leeway on things.

Other than the 64bit not liking PS7, Windows 7 RC runs like a dream. Vista has too much candy on it, while 7 isn't as memory hungry nor flashy as Vista. My Vista is 32bit, and I have programs installed on that OS that I used in Windows 98. Windows 7 RC, won't even let me install Office 2003. I'm running dual boot, with Vista and Windows 7 RC. I installed 7 and haven't booted to Vista except to try to fix the leaf in PS7.

I don't have a memory problem as I have and can use all 4gigs in the RC 7.

I did notice on my original the noise is there, but not on your repost of it. Was the change in dpi what did that or something you did to get rid of the noise?
