Posts: 128 | Lightroom Catalog Previews My Catalog Preview folder is up to 2 GB. How crucial is it to keep this folder and is there any way to point LR to another folder on an external drive? I'd rather not have this folder on my main drive. Thanks. |

| Site Supporter | I run my Lightroom 2.4 on a 500 Gb LaCie USB drive, including the catalogues. The problem with this method is that I must have the drive attached to see anything at all, including the previews. I work around this in the field with the notebook and no drive by previewing in Pentax Photo Browser on the local hard drive. I make no changes here, it is just so that we can see what I did on something better than the LCD on the back of the K10. |
