Hello!
This is my first post on this site. When the family went on vacation this summer we forgot our Digital Compact. We've been talking about getting a DSLR for some time. So, no time like the present. We bought a K200D because it was cheep 4000SKR last year they cost 8000SKR. The others in our price-range were Nikon D60, Canon 1000D and Olympus E-520. But the K200D where the only one that gave a quality impression.
Oh, my name is Daniel by the way.
Since the bundled software really sucks, I bought an old version of Aperture. But it wont read my images.
I've got an old iMac G5 so Aperture 2 won't work. LR seems to work ok.
Introduction over! Can I get Aperture 1.5 to work with K200D?
Hey man, I've never used Aperture or heard of it before. If you are unable to get those to work, I really recommend using Gimp as a free program for your PP'ing unless you want to get Lightroom 2.

I own CS2 so I don't think GIMP is an alternative, altho I haven't used it in years, does it have a more suitable workflow like LR?
I don't think that Aperture 1.5 had the built in DNG support that 2 has. In other words, Aperture 2 2 will work with any DNG, but I think 1.5 will only work with a DNG from a supported camera.
Hi Daniel. Perhaps this has been said but Aperture 2.0 works very well with my K10D PEF or DNG images which is an older camera and this is on G5 as well. Aperture 2 is not intel only. If you are worried about performance Adobe Lightroom is a bit faster but not much for me and I prefer using Aperture. I recommend downloading both Aperture and Lightroom to form your own impressions as both are quite capable
Cheers
Roger

Reason: Added PEF/DNG terms
