Ink jet Fly Loading Question

Do you load the ink in the colored tab area or do you pull the yellow tape off and load from there ? I'm just replacing Epson cartridges with ink fly ones (not the out side system)

Sounds like a stupid question but there web site instruction is very bad if not at all.

On mine, the "colored tab" on the top, up near the latch area of the cartridge, is actually a rubber plug- you lift the tab, pull the plug, and run the ink in there, then replace the plug.

My wife had refill confusion with these too- she tried to push the needle through the hole in the rubber plug and pushed the plug right into the cartridge. :-P

Ya, they need to update there "how to section" very badly.

I found out that you remove the tape around the hole and then install in your printer. Cartridges did not work unless yellow tape was removed in my printer. Also, be careful not to spill the ink :-)

BTW; My Photo Black cartridge leaked until I re-aligned the heads. After the heads were re-aligned, my R2400 works like a champ, colors look great, and I'm very happy. I now can print without the ink costing me a large fortune :-)
