Just wanted to let everyone (with an iPhone) know that Adobe is giving away a free mobile version of Photoshop for the iPhone. Very rudimentary of course, but its got some fun little features. Just go to the App Store and do a search for "photoshop". It should show up as "Photoshop.com Mobile."
Never ceases to amaze me what's going onto the iPhone - it's just taken us all by storm.
It was not long ago I remember the annoucement of the iPhone by Apple on the radio and how much it will revolutionise the mobile phone...

On my Android G1, there's a program named PicSay that I use to make minor adjustments to pictures. It ain't Photoshop, but I doubt the iPhone version of Photoshop is Photoshop, either; the online version certainly isn't. I have the lite version of PicSay. I use it to crop, adjust contrast, brightness, color temp, and occasionally to do a sepia conversion; but it has other features, including letting you put text into a photo, adjusting saturation and hue, distorting the image (say, to make someone look fatter or thinner), and the Pro version apparently has cut and paste.
When my cell phone's camera starts rivaling my K20D with a Pentax prime attached, I'll start worrying about whether the editor on the phone rivals Lightroom or Photoshop. :-)
I still found myself downloading other stuff like special effects, paying gets you the better apps imo this is the first phone where nothing is pirated

I still think photgene is my favorite versitile photo app for the iPhone
Well, it's this: the app is basically an uploader-tool for the photoshop.com web site, which is a "cloud based" photo editing site in competition with Google Picassa, and with Flickr, and presumably with whatever Microsoft has in this space. So it's only free because it's a hook into their online service. (Which is also free in the basic version, but can be expanded with more storage and other features.)
It's easy enough to ignore the "cloud" and just use it to adjust shots you take with the iPhone's crumby little camera. Sure it's real basic but what do ya want for free.
