How can I make a GIF animation?

Hello,

I want to do a short animation using several pictures. I've seen that in GIF format. How is that done? Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

I've made animated gifs with a free open source program called Imageforge. There are free and pay editions but the free will make animated gifs. Find it here.

Hi there,

Do you have a copy of Photoshop?
If so and it is newer than CS2 you can make one in Photoshop. Look in the help menu and or open the animation tool bar.
If you have CS2 you'll need image ready.

Hope that helps.
