Jpeg's desaturated when exporting from Lightroom

To all ye Lightroom experts out there

The problem suddenly manifested a couple of days back. When exporting Jpegs from Lightroom the pics seem to get desaturated or 'bland'. Everything was fine a few days back and then suddenly...all hell breaks loose

Camera: K200D
In Camera colour space: AdobeRGB
Lightroom Develop colour space: Adobe RGB
Lightroom Export colour space: Adobe RGB

Edit: I am viewing the JPEG files in Microsoft Image Viewer

Any inputs will be appreciated

My guess is that this isn't a Lightroom issue. My guess is that you are viewing the Adobe RGB files in an sRGB color space in either a browser or program setup that way. Without more info on how you're viewing the file, I'd simply be guessing at the problem.

If you are intending the file for viewing in a browser, then you need to change the working color space to sRGB before saving the JPG. I'm not a Lightroom user but I would image you can export it as sRGB. If not, simply convert it from Adobe RGB to sRGB prior to saving for the web.

Hi Rich....the problem is that the problem manifested itself only a few days ago...before that it was fine...or maybe I just did not notice ...which might be a bit unlikely as I have been using lightroom for the past 2 years

That makes it rather likely that the note above about the colour space is the cause of the problem. Inadvertently you changed the export colour space to AdobeRGB or even ProPhotoRGB from sRBG. sRBG is what you need for computer screens.

The setting is in the Export screen under File Settings > Color Space.

It's the colour space, aRGB is terrible unless you are viewing on a medium that displays aRGB .... explorer does not.
