Using Pentax Camera Utility with non Pentax JPEGs

Hi,
I, as a lot of people probably, have more than 1 camera, a Pentax K-x, and Canon G9 and a tiny Panasonic compact.

When using the Pentax supplied software, it does not allow editing of jpegs produced by either of the non Pentax cameras?

Is this the way is always works or is there some setting to allow editing of other brand jpegs? A jpeg is a jpeg after all, it should allow them all to be edited I think.

Anyone else experience this?
Stephen.

you could try using GIMP or Photoshop if you dont already have it, or you like the pentax software to organize all your photos and stuff.

Picasa

Google's Picasa is a good basic photo catalog and editor. It's not super capable but you can't beat the price of free. It should work with any jpeg.

In the View or Edit Menu is the option to show/filter only Pentax files. Try the View All or other setting.
