Note taking application

Does anybody here know of a note-taking application for the iPhone (or any other platform, for that matter) that you can record exposure or other data onto when using film?

Don't tell me the iPhone doesn't have a basic note jotting application!

My 4 year-old Nokia 6230i does! Fancy that.

I haven't tried it (don't have an iPhone), but a lot of people love Evernote. They have a web, Mac, and Windows version as well and advertise syncing between the versions. There's a free and a paid version of the service. There are also web-based versions of notetakers like Jott and Sandy that have connections to your phone via voice or SMS (via Twitter in the case of Sandy), but they are different beasts than a dedicated application like Evernote.

Alternatively, you could write the whole shabang in a text message and just save it in your drafts or whatnot. (don't tell me the iPhone can't do that either)

The ultimate, absolutely cross-platform notetaking combo is:

A PEN AND PAPER!!
