Geometric/distortion correction in Photoshop

Hi All,

I'm hoping someone will be able to explain to me how to correct vertical distortion...I hope thats what its called - When verticals lean into the centre of the photo with wide angle focal lengths. I'm using Photoshop CS3 & Lightroom.

Cheers Daz

Hi Daz, I'm sure it's called the transform tool (found in the edit menu), to correct perspective distortion, hold down the ctrl alt shift keys in unison and drag on one of the corner handles.

When happy, press enter or return or double click within the transform envelope to apply the transform.

Hi again, here's another thought for you Daz, being new to CS3 myself, I did the usual thing and bought a variety of books on the subject. As always happens, the best one is the last one purchased (if I had bought this one first, would have not needed the all the others).

The book to which I refer is Adobe Photoshop CS3 for Photographers by Martin Evening. ISBN 978-0-240-52028-5

It’s just fantastic IMHO and full of good stuff.
