Sometimes the weather doesn't seem to be co operating with one's photographic aspirations, and then suddenly what seemed poor becomes magical. Last weekend we spent a night at Brandywine Meadows, a wildflower lover's dream. It was rainy and dreary, but wait, the flowers were vibrant with moisture and the peaks glistened with rain. The pathway was muddy and slippery but seemed to entice us further into this paradise of verdant green.
I forgot my tripod quick release so I had to be very still and serene to shoot near hyperfocal distance. What do you think? Should I have toned down the greens a bit? Composition suggestions?
1 and 3 are my fav shots and I wouldn't change them at all. They have a 'painting like' look in the background. With 2 I think I'd crop out the sky area as much as possible as it is just too bright and looks like there could be some flare or haze bleeding into the landscape. Takes away from the nice little stream in the foreground. Good job BTW getting such a steady shot (as evidenced by the soft water) at such a slow shutter speed. The 4th shot is nice and similar to the one above but personally the foreground flowers and plants are somewhat distracting. I like the series over all.
I also agree with all of the above, unfortunately the sky does let the pics down, sorry. Excellent landscape pictures though, maybe some trickery can save the sky.
