It's a bit underexposed, but proper exposure to me seemed to lose a bit of the ocean's power.














It's not always so easy.


This is actually 2 pictures stitched together via Photoshop, not bad considering the difficulty of stitching water.

very nice set! I especially like #6 and #7 where you have that shallow DOF thing going on. I like the dreamy quality of them. I have also been trying to capture ocean shots of waves, surfing, etc. near my home and it's not easy to get the exposure right b/c the whitewater gets blown out so easily, for me anyway. looks like you nailed yours pretty nicely though.

Thanks for the compliment. I know what you mean with the water being easily blown out, lucky for you, sounds like you get a lot of chances to practice. I'm a bit farther inland

I love the Monterey area. You have some very nice shots here. My personal favorites are the two inside the aquarium. That said, the others are good too.

Nice pictures. I was in Monteray a couple years ago (work related). Instead of playing golf (I'm awful at it) I rented a bicycle and spend a couple hours cycling along the bay. I had an AE-1 with me and the other people I was with were astonished to see such an old camera.
