There's a double-entendre in there as well, but you got the first one!

Hmm, could the architecture from image one be of some famous architect? maybe the bridge in the background of image 2 has a secret?

I am sure glad I was able to click and see these larger. I still haven't figured out how to embed photos with that ability yet. These are quite nice and yes you are an artist! :-)

I particularly like the second of the two (and the color version of him that you had at your pbase site before). Really sharp image of a fascinating face. I imagine he's seen a lot.

The other three artists - did you meet up with duplo and ?

Thanks for the compliments all.

Yes, I was fortunate enough to meet up with Thomas (duplo) and Stephen (scgushue) for a lovely autumnal day in New York. I took what is perhaps the only picture of all three of us:

(Stephen is in there twice, even.)

Excellent as others have mentioned I love them both but the second one really tells a story well done.

I really enjoy these... show's the solitary nature of artists, even when out in the world. Love the contrast and general tone of the shots... both are just dandy!

Sean,

It was a really wonderful day. And, a lot of ground was covered, both above and below. It was great meeting up with Sean (carpents) and Thomas (Duplo) and just being able to share lenses and plumb the depths of each's interest.

The most interesting thing I noticed was that none of us really used the same focal length of lens as we walked about. Thomas loved the ultra wides (10-17) and Sean, the wides and I like the 50-135. I think our lens choices allowed us to see the same scenes in different modes of rendering and each could get shots the others were not fitted for.

It was a wonderful get together, and really worth the effort to rise early and travel to share the day with other Pentax users. Forum member should consider these get togethers and do them occasionally.

Here are just a couple of images from that day. More to come as time allows.

Stephen
