Photo Session

Is it ok to post a link to an entire photo session for c/c?

Photo Session

This was a session we donated for the dad who is in Iraq (2nd tour of duty) and won't be home for Christmas. The baby was born in late March.

They are warm photos. Somehow I think the colourful would work better for your husband (warm colour denotes warm feelings which might help with his nostalgia abroad)

Great photos

He is going to love these shots. The expressions and home will cradle his heart.

Coupled with what you say below - are you saying this is a good thing? Or too warm?

I presented in multiple because a lot of our clients want b&w's of baby stuff and this particular family has a strong preference for sepia. BTW - this is not for my husband. This is a client we donated a session to. I photographed this baby's birth in March (the dad was home at that time).

Great photos
Thank you.

I forgot that I was going to list a few equipment info stuff.
The ones my husband took were with the *ist-D with bounced flash or no flash. He mainly used the 28-70, 2.8 lens.
The ones I took were with the K100D with no flash or a couple with on-camera flash. (My bounce flashes are messed up at this time. But, I typically shoot au naturale as much as possible anyway.) I used the 18-55 kit lens, a 70-300, 4-5.6 lens and the 50mm, 1.4 manual lens. I love how the K100D works with the manual lens, but I used the 18-55 most. We REALLY need to get a 2nd 28-70, 2.8 lens or another equivalent high aperture lens for myself. Most of our shooting is done together.
The K100D is shooting warmer than I like. I've got to figure out how to adjust the settings to my liking. Most of these shots were my husband's, though mine are in there.

The mom sent an email last night and was very wowed! She can't wait to show them to her husband. I was thinking about making collage designs and presenting them in a slideshow with music.

Oops! I made a wrong presumption again. Sorry

Sorry for the misunderstanding. The photos were just right with the warm tone. I like it. It gives warmth and very gentle. Except one or two shots regarding the baby, the yellow hue might be a touch too strong (like a bit jaundiced). But you have a very natural craft to bring out that wonderful cheerful expression of that babe and the mother was just pouring all her attention looking at her!

Yeah, you can adjust the white balance a bit. I would shift left ward by 2 points and up 2 points (I cannot remember the right words to say).

k100d is warmer? I have my canon bodies always blowing out highlights and produce dark sepia whenever the lighting is poor. k100d was my camera before I purchased k10d and I loved that cam so much! It is way much better than any of canon bodies i owned.

Sorry to mess up thinking you were actually the mother in the photo...

Thank you! I would be interested in finding out more of what you mean by adjusting white balance over and up a notch or two. Photoshop? In camera? I currently use curves and BullzEye3 v5.0 to correct white balance. In BullzEye3, I reduce the orange, if possible, if the overall tone (especially skin) wasn't corrected with the correction of the white and black points.

When we arrived, the mom commented on the baby's seriousness. All her friends keep telling her how serious he always looks. She also said she has not been able to get a picture with his 2 bottom teeth. Good info to have, as Joe tried to get him to smile naturally (it was a difficult task starting out - he is a very serious baby). This boy loved Joe. He was rolling around on the bed playing with Joe in several of these shots. Joe was able to get his teeth photographed. That will be good to share with the dad!
