Great doggie portrait setup

So I set up a perfect lighting setup for taking pictures of my pup. Basically I set two flashes at 1/4 on the floor and bounced the directly into the ceiling to get me a nice even coverage. I opened the blinds on the window and balanced for the daylight coming in which was ISO 100 f4-5.6 and 1/125.

Wide angle distortion! yay!

I have the unfortunate circumstance that 'flash' means 'lightning', with lightning comes thunder, to not one, but now two of my dogs, which sends them bolting.

Cute pup too! I've never seen you share shots of him before. With your never ending stream of photos, you might become the most prevalent in the "Your Pet A Day" thread then...

Yeah my older dog has the same flash is lighting mentality. Ha, I just remembered that thread and I'll have to post one in that thread as well.

Yeah the 16-50 actually has a nice bokeh when it's at f4.0 and you space things far enough apart.

He wasn't staying still too much, just the light let me move around with him and just kept focusing and playing with him till he'd stay still for just a second so I can fire the shot off.

This style works well and you are definitely into various types of experimentation

This was made with a single Sunpak 383 into a Wescott silver compact umbrella high and to the right. The K10D with the Voightlander 90mm did its usual good work.

No one but Cosmo is allowed to sit in this red velvet chair....his throne so to speak

Thank you Heinrich and it's not os much innovative as it is reading forums and discovering that one technique could be used in another fashion.
