Venus transit of Sun
Lens: Tamron 28-300 Ultrazoom XR Camera: Pentax K-5 Photo Location: Ajax, Ontario ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F8

Not a very good photo but it does show Venus against the sun. I'm happy.

This was using my cheap 2x teleconverter and I rigged up a solar filter using filters from an old Davis marine artificial horizon taped to an old filter ring.

Amazing how small the sun actually is when you see it through a filter.
