My first set of pictures
Posted by cajuncutter, 02-03-2008, 11:03 PM cajuncutter is offline

Well I have taken many before this set as you can tell by the numbers on the photos. Anyway here are some pictures taken with my K10D using both the FA 50 1.4 and a Vivetar 75-210 f3.5 from 1975 or something. Anyway I do not know squat as to what I am doing for this is my first DSLR. Besides a few adjustments Chris told me to make this is the best I can do for now. I have a lot of learning and reading to do I know so don't hammer on me to hard. Anyway Happy Mardis Gras!

Vic,

Those aren't bad at all. I think that the best ones were the ones where you were able to zoom in fairly close to your subject. With the constant motion of a parade, good pics can be tricky to get, but overall, you did well.

Hey CC, pretty nice ''almost" first shots. I kinda agree with Heather above, but I like one or two of the long ones too. I think my favs are "K Kop" and the one of the parade vendor with all the hats etc.

Nice work. Parades can be so much fun to shoot. Lots of colors and you can work many angles. Good work and keep it up.
