Hmmm...I can only see the second picture, the others are forbidden when I open them in a new window

You've got some nice DOF going on in this picture, winding roads are great. Do I see another sign that says 60 mph right behind the 70mph sign? Either way, I don't think you'll be making those turns at that speed unless you're in a lamborghini (sp?)

There seems to be a problem with pics from pbase, most of the time you just have to refresh the page to see the pics. I only have the problem with this site.
The 60mph sign is a truck speed limit...

Hi Walt, if you notice, the barn and shed are level which is the effect I liked. But the horizon needs rotation to the left. With the horizon level you see a lot more curvature in the barn and the shed falling off the left side.
The Zenitar 16/2.8 is a fun semi-fisheye lens on a Pentax and you can get software to defish it, but why take the fun out of it. It's always in my daybag and I have a gallary here if you want to see more;

Hi Julie, thanks for your comments. It's a great part of the US, but I'm having a hard time getting use to the cold. Like I told Walt, it's a fun semi-fisheye lens on a Pentax and worth every penny of the $125.

Here's a pic of my ride with the Zen

Hi Eric, did you get hit by the ice storm this past weekend?
It's not 'd*mn cold', it's (many expletives) FIGID! I can only handle it for about 20 minutes and then its's back into my running truck to get warm agian. I can't wait for the warmer weather to get here.
Here's a couple more mountain pics for you...

Hi Scott,

I liked all the shots a lot, especially the barn one. The highlights in the clouds are blown a bit on this one, which isn't so bad per se, but here it appears as though the the different color channels have not blown out all together at once, but rather separately and to differing degrees. This is what causes the blown highlights in the clouds being surrounded by yellow-snow looking areas, which may or may not be completely resolved by subtracting some yellow from the entire image. I would either try fiddling with curves or levels or replacing the color.

Take it easy,

Matt
