Post Walking in a Winter Wonderland

It's started snowing and sleeting here in Central Texas, so I thought I'd take some pictures!

Winter Wonderland 2007

Some highlights:

And that's not all!

Little Laker,

It wasn't that heavy, and even though its still falling, the snow isn't expected to go past ~2"

Did you look at the gallery (linked)? That roof is on a shed in my backyard. In it and the picture above it, you can see bouncing sleet.

I knew that it wasn't deep snow, although in Vancouver BC Canada 2" is enough to cause several pileups (I'm glad that I don't live in Vancouver)

But no I hadn't looked in your gallery yet Matthew. It looks good

I like the picture size that your using. I'm still on dial up, although that's changing today and they still load quickly.

That's good. I upload them as ~800px max., and the gallery software resizes them to ~400px.

Nice shots! I like your gallery. Thanks for posting.

We dodged it here in Houston...although the news people were all breathlessly awaiting our frozen emergency! I guess they'll have to hype up the next situation.

I bought a couple of books at HEB (of all places - turns out they sponsored the books) that contain shots of the Christmas snow of 2004. I got one or two shots on Christmas morning that year, but it had already started melting early on Christmas morning. The shots from further south, along the coast were amazing. If you see the books, I recommend them. Seems like they were under $15 each, hardbound.
