That's a nice shot, good composition on the rose and I like the angle of the lighting. The 'V' background of the fence I found a little bit distracting.

Don't be a fraid to post a little bit larger -- some of the images on the forums are over the top in size, we don't all have T1 lines -- but this one was a tad small.

Great on your first post.

I think that lowering your aperture to f4 would have a more blurred background, hence a less distracting fence at the back.

The angle could have been lower shooting up creating a more lifting feel.

Still a well metered and sharp photograph.
