Trip to Eureka Springs, Arkansas
Posted by mwcfire, 05-27-2008, 10:25 PM mwcfire is offline

We bought a Hybrid SUV and decided to take a nice road trip to Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Wonderful drive and a beautiful town. I shot the whole trip with a K10D and Tamron 18-250.

And of course a pic of a spring...

Nice pics! I love Eureka. You're making me want to go back for a visit.

Nice job capturing your trip. My family enjoys Arkansas getaways and especially the NW area for hiking and photo opportunities. The state has done a lot to draw visitors to their outdoors. How did your "fill the boot" campaign turn out? Did you all bring in more than Tulsa? Just curious as I have several friends on the TFD. Have a great day.

Thanks for the compliments! Not sure who won the MDA! I usually get a hat and that is all I know! lol.

I will definitely make it back to Eureka Springs. My only disappointment was that I didn't spend more time shooting! It was somewhat rainy over Memorial Day weekend.

I did get to see an "Art Car" Show and the Onyx Cave!

Ditto, ditto and ditto. NW and west central AR is probably my all time favorite place. I haven't been back since i've been into photography. My dad lives near Ft. Smith. May be getting time for a visit.

Thanks for posting these.

Very nice images!

I was up in Eureka Springs on the 18th for a short field trip class (part of the Mid-America Photo Symposium - on landscape photography. I've always enjoyed going there, and it's barely over an hour's drive from my house.
