Night Day
Posted by mwcfire, 06-15-2008, 09:22 AM mwcfire is online now

I took this last night around 8pm. It is a picture of the SE Sky in Central Oklahoma.

I have never seen this type of sky before. Truly was amazing. Even the water reflected the hues of white and blue. No editing of the photo has been done.

Very interesting indeed! Looks like some kind of half filter applied in 90degrees angle. Nice photo! Some cropping from the bottom might bring the phenomenon even clearer in to sight...

My wife thought maybe it was a front moving in. I don't know.

Luckily I had my K10D with me and pulled over to take it.

He are a couple more as the night began.

Very interesting shot, and well captured.
My first reaction is with your wife's....a front moving in, or perhaps a dust storm..??

Maybe run it past the local weather bureau boys and girls.

Cheers.

I probably should. I did look it up on this website:

Past History

8pm doesn't look unusual. I need to find a satellite image I guess. Right time and right place to see something neat I guess.

That is a strange effect that I have not seen before. Good job on having your camera handy to capture it.
