Boogey Boarders
Posted by Tyama, 06-24-2008, 12:12 AM Tyama is offline

I went to Sandy Beach a boogey board/bodysurfing spot on the east side side of the island. Where the waves break the water is only 2-3 feet deep. Taken with my K20D and DA 50-200mm on a slightly overcast day.

Beautiful shots. Takes me back. I lived on the North Shore for about three years in the late 80s and I do miss the beaches. Thanks for posting.

The water so shallow that in the second shot you can see a submerge chap ,as the water clear and the camera setup crisp

Nice

Great shots! Looks like the young lady in #4 is about to lose her bottom. Either that, or she is working on a new coppertone commercial.

Thanks for the comments. In my younger days I used to bodysurf there and can remember hitting the sandy bottom due to the shallow water.

I can also recall people losing or dislodging portions of their clothing. It used to be part of the experience for people watching whether it was a bad wipeout or misplaced clothing.
