Although I read alot on this forum, I seldom post anything.....but I snapped this shot on a recent vacation to Maine and thought I might share.

I've added 3 additional shots. The first is a lighthouse at Cape Elizabeth. Can you tell I like lighthouses?? The 2nd is a typical rocky shoreline of Maine, and well the last shot....I'm a big fan of the movie and stumbled across this just driving around one rainy day.....
Again, thank you for the nice comments. I am rather shy about posting these as I don't see myself as a photographer in the same league as most of you....but I enjoy reading this forum and have learned a lot in my short time here. Thank you all.
Hmmm.. I was just there on Sunday (6/22)!!! It was so foggy, the ocean dissappeared within a quarter mile! We did not venture to this spot where so many shots have been taken of the portland main lighthouse. I was hoping to catch this exact photo...in a week I took over 1000 shots.. time to start sorting. Will post later!! You are lucky to get a blue sky day in Maine!

Wow, I shot this on June 18th. During the week I was there, there were lots of foggy, misty days.....but most afternoons were pretty good. We vacation there every year...we need to compare notes of stuff to see and photograph.
Thanks to everyone who have posted such nice comments. Makes a rank amateur like myself think there is hope.......

I do recall the 18th was a nice day. I was in Boston that day walking the freedom trail.
I'll post my shots from this park later in the week hopefully.. The weather change gives this place a totally different feel.
if you can make it to Pemaquid Point lighthouse, it's really photogenic there. The rocks are amazing.
I love it there. of course it's a little sentimental for my fiancee and I hehe...
