Warning may cause hunger
Posted by zeek10d, 08-01-2008, 02:38 AM zeek10d is offline

I managed to get an ok sign from friend to post some shots I took for the food. IMHO, Pentax is great for food photography^^ BTW the lighting setup was adjusted for Canon 30D, I just took some shots of my portfolio without re-adjusting the flash power.

Thx^^ We were quite honored by the resturant, as they specially flew in their Hong Kong head chief for this photoshoot. That explain why all the dish looks so wonderful^^

Thx^^ Ya Tamron f2.8 standard zoom lens are great^^ Yes the photos are taken with a flash setup consist of 2 to 3 flash. They look even better on Canon, as I'd set it to work for Canon 30D system. All the shots had a light blue backdrop and a bit of blue cast on the plate/bowl. Something like in shot #2 & #3. It matches their new menu color^^

Thanks^^ We were taking this outdoor, a cloudy day doesn't help as we had inconsistant amount of sunlight. If it's taken indoor it would had been much eaiser^^;

Great stuff.

I really hope you are getting paid for these! They look like they belong in a magazine.

Thx for ur kind words^^ It is a paid job, but I doubt I'll get anything as they should be using my friend's shots^^ To me it's just more of helping out a friend (or rather my unofficial "apprentice") and putting what I know into practical. Never really did a food product shot before, so I'm pretty gald it turned out ok^^
