Bear Lake

Nymph Lake

Dream Lake (with flare)

And Emerald Lake

A perfect day for hiking . . . even at my age.

I've been to Emerald lake, very beautiful. I can't wait for the day when I can travel out west and through the mountains again.

Oh my! Dream and Emerald scenes look superb. In fact so much that I just had an urge to go for a swim in the nearby lake here (well not so bright idea, water temperature ~12 Celcius and pitch black out there).

Great shots

I really like the first one ... my type of shot with the hanging branches.

2 and 3 are great. Want to be there. Love the sky in 2 on the water amongst the lilies, with 3 it's definately all about the geography. Those stones in the foreground, the ?snow? (or white rock more likely) on the mountain in the pass, the sightline between the two. Cool.

See, I'd like them hang over the sky, not the scenery, myself, but to each their own.

Beautiful images Lawrence, thanks for posting them. Never too old to hike, look at me. But OH, apparently I have trouble walking on level ground. LOL

Take care,

Thanks to all for the comments.

MrA, yes, that's snow up high, and more may come this weekend. The couple to the left in the last image were returning from a large icy patch just over the ridge. She made pictures of him sitting in the middle of the snow for the folks back home. I suggested that he would now be known as "cold butt" . . . she seemed to like that idea more than he, although he did say that was appropriate, given how he felt at the moment. Seemed like a good idea before they made the picture, but not after. LOL.
