Great Falls Virginia

My first time using the k10d again since around July, i think i felt pretty rusty.

both shots were taken with a Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm vs. 1 @ 210mm.
I had an HMC Hoya ND8 and an HMC Hoya digital polarizer on the front.
Camera was resting on my sweater, which was laying on a rock by the water's edge.

Here are 2 of the better shots i had all day while i was there. the second shot is just slightly to the left of the 1st shot, but i thought it came out pretty nice also.

Camera was bought from another fellow Pentaxforum member (atracksler). i think he upgraded to a k20d. Camera works superbly. I would recommend atracksler to anyone that is considering ever buying stuff from him

Nice shots... The water level looks just about right for these kind of shots. Last time I was over there was for the kayak races.

Crisp Rocks ... Soft Water -- a winning combination. Great shots.

thanks for the praise Taff

yeah i kinda felt the same about the horizon, especially with the first photo. Because of the angle of the water wall, it looks like the horizon is off. but in all honesty, that was as close to a straight on shot as i could make (unless i wanted to be in the water). at least that is the reason i tell myself .

another possible reason is because the horizon really is off ..... which probably isnt really that far fetched.

Looks like that flowing water washed the rust away.

I just posted a couple of things... This weekend there is a small air show out at the Culpeper airport, and I also want to go up and shoot Whiteoak Falls (SNP) on the 25th. Interested in either or both?
